Upcoming Virtual Events

June 22-23

Shifting Left. Our world has changed, and application security is no exception.

As the speed of development continues to accelerate, the implications for code security have become even greater as our world relies on digital services to work and live. It's time to bridge the gap between security teams and developers, and start finding and fixing vulnerabilities at the source.

This free, virtual two-day conference is where we aim to bring together Modern Dev Teams, Application Security Gurus, and the developers who are ready to become security heroes.

July 14-15

TechStrong Con. Now in its second year, TechStrong Con is a testament to the ways in which technology can improve human existence, even in our greatest time of need. This year’s event will feature examples of how digital transformation, DevOps, cloud native and cybersecurity have enabled us to survive—and some thrive—in the past year, and look ahead to what we can expect as we adjust to a new normal. TechStrong Con also will explore the future of hybrid: hybrid events, hybrid workplaces, hybrid/multi-cloud infrastructure. Join us as we look at lessons learned from the pandemic and how tech can lead the way going forward.

SKILup Day: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

In software engineering, CI/CD or CICD generally refers to the combined practices of continuous integration and either continuous delivery or continuous deployment. CI/CD bridges the gaps between development and operation activities and teams by enforcing automation in building, testing, and deploying applications.

August 4-5

Cloud-native technologies are fast becoming an integral part of IT environments as organizations continuously accelerate their development efforts to meet business demands. Cloud-Native Virtual Summit 2021 explores the cloud-native ecosystem beyond Kubernetes and ways in which organizations can leverage cloud-native technologies to move faster and more securely. Sessions led by experts will focus on topics including cloud-native infrastructure, networking and security, and include real-world insight into:

  • Trends and best practices in the cloud-native space
  • Addressing Kubernetes complexities
  • Tackling cloud-native security from the onset
  • And more

Sessions will be geared toward practitioners, managers and C-level executives, and led by industry thought leaders and doers in the cloud-native space. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of cloud native and its impact on the IT landscape.

August 12

SKILup Day: DevSecOps is an augmentation of DevOps to allow for security practices to be integrated into the DevOps approach. The traditional centralized security team model must adopt a federated model allowing each delivery team to factor in the proper security controls into their DevOps practices.

Transform.Gov Virtual Summit explores the technologies both evolutionary and revolutionary that are changing the face of government, as agencies transform to meet the needs of their customers even in the most challenging times. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the need to provide rapid response and solve problems quickly is more important than ever; agencies, therefore, need to adopt the technologies that will be most effective in answering the call. Each expert-led session will focus on:

  • Digital transformation in the government space
  • The importance of user experience in providing effective service
  • Ensuring the security of essential data and sensitive user information

Sessions will be geared toward practitioners, managers and leaders in government agencies, and led by industry thought leaders, analysts, and doers. Keynotes also will feature experts offering their take on how technology is helping governments address the critical issues forcing transformation. If you work in government or government IT, this event is one not to be missed.

September 23

GitOps is growing as a new way of working in the DevOps space as organizations further look to empower developers to perform tasks that typically fall under the purview of IT operations. GitOps Evolution Virtual Summit explores the reality behind what some have considered to be marketing hype, and breakout sessions will offer insight into ways organizations can use GitOps to solve real problems. Expert-led sessions and panel discussions will focus on topics including:

  • GitOps and the evolution of DevOps
  • A developer’s guide to adopting GitOps
  • Metrics to measure in GitOps environments

Sessions will be geared toward practitioners, managers and C-level executives, and led by industry thought leaders and doers in the GitOps space. Keynotes also will feature experts offering their take on how this new way of working will change the way applications are built and deployed.

September 23

SKILup Day: Observability is the ability to infer a system’s internal states. Monitoring, then, is defined as the actions involved in observability: observing the quality of system performance over a time duration.

DevOps Experience 2021: The Roaring Twenties - As we stand poised to move beyond the catastrophe that is Covid 19, we are on the edge of what could be a giant leap forward. The world has come to see and recognize the power of Digital Transformation. Digital Transformation is being driven by software and software is being accelerated by DevOps.  Cloud Native has served as a catalyst to the DevOps, software, Digital Transformation cycle. Now after perhaps 4-7 years of digital transformation progress in the last 18 months, with favorable capital markets and business outlook, we are poised for a generational leap forward. The 21st Century is truly upon us.

As we look forward to all of the great things this transformation enables, we also have to be ready to tackle tough problems like global warming, Cybersecurity threats, future pandemics, diversity and more. DevOps can be a powerful force for change in all of this. In its 4th year, this year’s DevOps Experience will explore how DevOps will be a major factor in today's Roaring 20’s.Sessions will be geared toward practitioners, managers and C-level executives, and led by industry thought leaders and doers in the DevOps, DevSecOps, and Cloud Native world.

November 18

Low code has come into its own in the development space as organizations increasingly adopt low-code and no-code technologies to enable IT to build solutions with minimal involvement from developers. As digital transformation efforts accelerated in 2020 due in large part to the COVID-19 pandemic, low-code is becoming a valuable part of the development environment. Low-Code Today Virtual Summit explores the vast and growing ecosystem of technologies that are changing the face of application development, featuring sessions that focus on the challenges and opportunities in low-code application development, including:

  • The rise of the citizen developer
  • Addressing security and compliance in low-code applications
  • Low-code vs. no-code
  • Trends in low-code

Sessions will be geared toward practitioners, managers and C-level executives, and led by industry thought leaders and doers in the low-code space. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of low-code and its impact on the IT and application development landscapes.
